Customer Reviews

This is one of my most favorite pens, and until I started using the Pilot G2, it was my favorite pen. The Signo pens are all excellent choices because of their fade-proof, waterproof ink. They dry fairly rapidly and leave a smooth, even line. It's hard to find ultra or micro tipped pens, and the uniball Signo is one of the loveliest ultrafine pens I've ever used. I've never had a problem with it leaking, although I sometimes find I've untwisted the body of the pen if I've been using it for a marathon writing or drawing session.
I favor the G2 over this pen for a few reasons: First, the ink in this pen is not a true black. It's a dark gray, almost faded black color, which you might prefer if you're concerned about bleed-through and using lightweight paper. Second, it's less ergonomic (for my hand), with a straight, non-contoured grip. Third, and this is a big one, I run out of ink amazingly quickly with this pen. I don't know if it's a more liquid solution that somehow drains more rapidly, but the uniball Signo lasts me maybe 1/2 to 2/3 as long as a Pilot G2 does, with no savings in cost to make up for it.
I've still chosen to give the uniball Signo a 5 star rating because a 4.7 does round up, this is a truly quality pen, and my priorities and preferences might not be the same as yours. If you're looking for an ultrafine or micro point pen, this is on the short list of the best options, and is definitely worth trying.

I love the pen, but two issues:
a) the ink goes VERY fast, AND the ink resavoiour is not as thick as I'd like. It's thin and short and For this reason I would not buy again. Cheap skates. I mean it when I say it goes very fast.
b) the top portion pops off on occasion.
